In a sense it is such a pity that learners (for obvious reasons) can’t write or draw or underline in their textbooks. This not only helps us to concenrtrate, but also serves as a visual “picture” that is remembered more easily.

However, nothing stands in your way to highlight class notes. And here is a handy hint, especially for high school learners with many facts to comprehend: Use a traffic lights system of highlighting information in different colours. For example, use a green highlighter for the most important topics; a yellow one for those that should be studied second and a red for those that should only be studied if there is time.
